Click to see the August 2007 rant!! » Latest News August 2007Hey people, This last month has been great fun, been selling quite a few Dorset Arms stories: I recently spoke to two sets of people who experienced weirdness at the pub. From objects disappearing to windows and doors just opening themselves, even though they were locked...! And one of the manager's wives said she often saw a woman sitting on the stairs in the top flat, crying... And then she was gone...! Freaky...!
Had a great Thursday as I headed of to Glyndeborne Opera house in Sussex with top sound man Andy Rose. www.andyrose.tv Apart from humping all the gear about (a mobile studio) and messing about in the lift and having to start at 9.00am (arrrrrgggh i hate mornings) it was a really amazing day.... And what a place... www.glyndebourne.com We set the studio up right under the stage, and when they moved the huge scenery about it sounded like 500 elephants stampeding. And in little rehearsal rooms dotted about the place a strange warbling and gurgling sound filtered about the circular corridors. Andy assured me the ladies were practicing the German composer Wagner's 4 hour show, to which he was recording.
To which I replied, 'Sorry mate, I'm a rock singer...I just shout lots' Then it was of the café, I mean Granary dinning rooms for a spot of grub, I mean lunch. ….. Better than a bag of chips any day...!
Then as evening beckoned it was of to my own rehearsals with Nutty Boy and Alex, in a quite corner of the Ashdown Forest. My thanks to Rob Finn for letting us blast out some numbers at such short notice.... and boy was it hot in there, as you can probably tell by the photos....
Then on Saturday 28th July we had a gig, and that was a right blast.
So it was a very creative, fun, hard working month this month.... It continues.... Loads of love, Mr B..x. |
